Grandma Bricks of Swallow Street

Created to illustrate the short stories of Thames TV’s ‘Rainbow’, Grandma Bricks and the residents of Swallow Street consciously promoted the inclusive values of an emerging multicultural Britain of the late 1970s. Celebrating themes of diversity and community, this stop-frame series provided a landmark for Cosgrove Hall’s later naturalistic style of animation.
